Whimsical watercolor pet portraits make a wonderful gift or a treasured keepsake. These original mixed media watercolor pet portraits offer a creative take on your favorite fur friend. I use watercolor washes, colored pencil, and ink to create texture and add depth. My pet portraits capture the distinctive traits and character of pets.

 What I am looking for in a photo reference:

·       a portrait shot, possibly with a bit of the torso

·       a very clear and sharp view of the facial features

·       a clear view of the eyes

·       not an action shot. Working with blurry images is impossible.

 Sizes and materials

 I paint in mostly small-to-medium sizes.

Larger sizes coming in June!

8”x8” ($120)

 **one subject per portrait

Includes original watercolor portrait on archival watercolor paper. Frame not included.

 I like to have a few images that fit the criteria and pick the one that lends itself best to a painting. Once we both agree on the image, I can start my work.

Pet portraits are non-refundable

We ship all whimsical watercolor pet portraits paintings wrapped in tissue, cardboard, or foam core, in a clear plastic sleeve to protect against potential outside elements. Please note that your painting will arrive unmatted and unframed.

Your painting will ship via USPS or UPS Ground with insurance, if you are within the United States. At this time, we do not offer international shipping.

Please allow four to six weeks for completion of your custom pet portrait, from the date the painting is officially commissioned.
